Description

Assesses recognition of the full set of standard ramp hand signals covered in Recognizing Hand Signals Parts 1 and 2. A colleague performs 10 signals drawn at random and the trainee selects the correct name from four options for each. A minimum score of 8 out of 10 is required to pass.

Skills Acquired

  • Identify all hand signals from a live demonstration
  • Distinguish between paired signals that carry opposite meanings, such as Brakes On and Brakes Off or To Connect and To Disconnect
  • Recognize pushback-specific signals and understand their distinct operational context
  • Confirm theoretical readiness before proceeding to practical equipment training
  • The exam presents 10 hand signals drawn at random from the library of 27 signals. For each question, a colleague performs a hand signal.
  • The trainee selects the correct signal name from four options. Signals from both the first and the second set of hand signals may appear.
  • The signal plays on a continuous loop and can be watched as many times as needed while the correct answer is selected.
  • Each response receives immediate correct or incorrect feedback. A score of 8 out of 10 or higher (80%) is required to pass.
